Our Christmas Wish List For Our Troops
Here's our wish list for the troops....
In order to make each Christmas
care package special, we are asking for a little nicer gifts to
include in each one. As much as they love receiving socks and
eye drops, that just doesn't say Merry
Christmas quite as well as
items listed below:
We'll still send each of them a box of the regular stuff
but each one will (hopefully) have a nice gift and also some
homemade goodies, cookies, granola, peppermint bark and a
Christmas
stocking with gifts and a Christmas
tree ornament. We're also including a coffee mug and the fixin's
for pudding in a cup that they mix up and make fresh.
Dec. 2nd is the day to deliver your homebaked goodies to
Suite 1048 Crossroads Mall in Oklahoma City. We need LOTS of
people packing boxes every W, Th and Sat between the last Sat in
October until the shipment date in early December. Contact
Karen at
TheHugsProject(at)cox.net to schedule your church, office or
club for a work day.
We would like to collect enough special items so that each
box could have at least one. We will be making 3,000+
Christmas
boxes depending on the items received. If everyone on the OKC
emailing update list would buy just 1 or 2 nice gifts to be
included, it would be an AWESOME Christmas
for some of America's finest young men and women. I am so glad
that they are willing to go into harm's way and look evil in the
eye...for ME and for YOU too.
If you can't get your Christmas
shopping done in time but would like to send funds, we can do it
for you, please send checks made out to:
The Hugs Project
PO Box 6761
Edmond, OK 73083
YOU can put a smile on the face of one of our dear troops this
Christmas.
Email me at TheHugsProject(at)cox.net for more info.
Thank you for your continued support!!!
Merry Christmas!!
